“Ye are the light of the world. A city that is set on an hill cannot be hid. Neither do men light a candle, and put it under a bushel, but on a candlestick; and it giveth light unto all that are in the house. Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven.” Matthew 5:14-16 KJV
Happy new month dearly beloved. Congratulations for stepping into the sixth rung of this year’s ladder. The Almighty God who has brought us this far will never fail nor forsake us. We shall finish this month and this year well and strong in Jesus mighty name.
Brethren, it is time for us to glow. As the light of the world, you are to shine gloriously in your own capacity. There may be one or two things contending with your capacity to shine as light, it is high time you set such things aside. A saying goes thus:
“If you cannot be the Sun, and cannot be the Moon, why not be the Star and shine honourably in your own capacity”
Believe you me sincerely, you were born to shine! You have the capacity to shine. The sun, the moon and the stars were created to shine, and they do this naturally, without struggle. In the same vein, you have been packaged to exude God’s radiance. You are the light of the world, a city that is set upon a hill cannot be hid. We are expected to glow as children of God and we should do this without blinking eyes or raising eyebrows. Glowing for us is a command!
“Arise, shine; for thy light is come, and the glory of the LORD is risen upon thee. For, behold, the darkness shall cover the earth, and gross darkness the people: but the LORD shall arise upon thee, and his glory shall be seen upon thee. And the Gentiles shall come to thy light, and kings to the brightness of thy rising.” Isaiah 60:1-3 KJV
Beloved, the LORD has risen upon us and His glory is manifesting upon us; we need to shine forth so the Gentiles will come to our light and kings to the brightness of our rising. How do we shine forth? In our demonstration of live, godly conducts, good works, giving to the poor, winning souls and many other ways.
“Hereby perceive we the love of God, because he laid down his life for us: and we ought to lay down our lives for the brethren.” 1 John 3:16 KJV
Are you reading this and you know that you have not surrendered your life to Jesus Christ. Please do so today. Are your ability to shine hampered by gross darkness? The crux of the matter is you need to accept Jesus Christ as your Lord and Saviour. He will set you up for glory. In His light you will shine. Therefore, allow Jesus to have His way in your life. Accept him today, repent of your sins and turn from your evil ways and it shall be well with your soul.
“Then spake Jesus again unto them, saying, I am the light of the world: he that followeth me shall not walk in darkness, but shall have the light of life.”John 8:12 KJV
Are you ready to glow in God? Arise and shine.
