Happy New Month dearly beloved. It is the third month of the year and the mercy of God has kept us. His power will move us forward in this month of March in Jesus name. May you and yours match forward into your blessings, success, promotion, breakthrough and all round prosperity
There is one thing that is very critical in our journey of life. It is knowledge. The dictionary defines it as facts, information, and skills acquired by a person through experience or education; the theoretical or practical understanding of a subject. It is also defined as the awareness or familiarity gained by experience of a fact or situation. In every area of our lives – spiritual wise, physical wise, marital wise, career wise, business wise, etc, we need knowledge and dexterity to excel and make impacts. Much more important is the knowledge of God.
Our anchor scripture pinpoints the benefits of knowledge and the consequences of ignorance. Knowledge is so powerful that even the people of God are destroyed for lack of it. Ignorance destroys. May we not be destroyed by it in Jesus name. As children of God, we are to continue in our quest for knowledge as rejection of it could lead to God’s rejection, and hampered the fulfillment of one’s purpose. Alas, the rejection of it, could have negative impacts on one’s generation.
Beloved, it is the truth you know that guarantees your freedom. Knowledge is so powerful that it can make people free and guarantees fulfillment of purpose and commands generational blessings.
In what area of your life do you need freedom? The best strategy is to seek knowledge in that area. Knowledge transforms. It can turn a mediocre to a distinguished fellow; it can turn a nobody to somebody. Knowledge can guarantee your deliverance from bondage – whether physical or spiritual. It is very costly to wallow in ignorance.
This month beloved, make up your mind to seek knowledge and pursue it. Faith is of paramount importance to our Christian journey, but in addition to faith, we were enjoined to add other vital ingredients and condiments to make sumptuous meal of a robust, well rounded and grounded life of fruitfulness. This addition includes knowledge as we see below:
“And beside this, giving all diligence, add to your faith virtue; and to virtue knowledge; and to knowledge temperance; and to temperance patience; and to patience godliness; and to godliness brotherly kindness; and to brotherly kindness charity. For if these things be in you, and abound, they make you that ye shall neither be barren nor unfruitful in the knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ.” 2 Peter 1:5-8 KJV
Do you have the knowledge of salvation? Are you ignorant of the truth that Jesus Christ is the total package of God for our salvation? Do you know the truth that God loves the world that He gave his only begotten son that whosoever believes in Him should not perish but have eternal life – John 3:16? Do you know that your sins have been paid for? Do you know that there is no other name under heaven given among men by which we may be saved? Acts 4:12. In case you didn’t know or you knew and have not done anything about it, it is time you take action now. Accept Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior, repent of your sins and turn from your evil ways. This is the true knowledge that transforms life out of darkness into the marvelous light of God. Are you ready to embrace this truth?
“Then said Jesus to those Jews which believed on him, If ye continue in my word, then are ye my disciples indeed; and ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.” John 8:31-32 KJV
