Wisdom is the principal thing; therefore get wisdom: And with all thy getting get understanding.
Proverbs 4:7 KJV
Happy new month to you and yours. May this month of April mark the beginning of great and wonderful things in your life, family and ministry in Jesus mighty name.
Last month, the Lord helped us to look at the power of knowledge; we were reminded over and over again the need to grow in grace and in the knowledge of our Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ. The power of knowledge cannot be over emphasized. Ignorance is very expensive – please don’t try to purchase it.
As powerful as people of God are, He says, “my people are destroyed for lack of knowledge…” Hosea 4:6. Isn’t that alarming? To save His people from limitations, destructions and other consequences of ignorance, God in His infinite mercy reveals things to them through His words and other different modes of revelation. It is written:
The secret things belong unto the LORD our God: but those things which are revealed belong unto us and to our children for ever, that we may do all the words of this law. Deuteronomy 29:29 KJV
Beloved, knowledge is powerful and much of a muchness wisdom. It is one thing to have knowledge, but another thing to have wisdom. They go hand in hand. What do you do with the knowledge that you have acquired? It is wisdom that helps. Wisdom is the right application of knowledge. It is the principal thing we must all have. Wisdom translates knowledge from its latent, untapped state to useful and beneficial state. Wisdom demands that you apply the truth you know for you to begin to enjoy the benefits of freedom. The right application of knowledge brings healing, deliverance, abundance, protection etc. Through wisdom, you can exonerate yourself from the bondage and attending vices of ignorance. We are talking about the wisdom of God. The scripture says:
Buy the truth, and sell it not; Also wisdom, and instruction, and understanding.Proverbs 23:23 KJV
“But the wisdom that is from above is first pure, then peaceable, gentle, and easy to be intreated, full of mercy and good fruits, without partiality, and without hypocrisy.”James 3:17 KJV
Have you heard the message of salvation over and over and yet have not done anything about it? Have you heard the good news and have not made up your mind? Yes, you already know the truth that God loves you and that Jesus died for your sins, what are you doing about that? Why not surrender your life to God today and allow Jesus Christ to take the driver seat of your life. Give God the chance to take control of your life. Repent of your sins and turn from your evil ways. This is the real thing and wisdom indeed!
In this month of April when we are commemorating the death and resurrection of our Lord Jesus Christ, may the power of resurrection continue to play dominant roles in your life and propels you to greater heights through the knowledge and wisdom of God.
Remain blessed.
