February 2024 – The Power of Mindset

”And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.“ Romans‬ ‭12‬:‭2‬ ‭KJV‬‬

Happy New Month! It is the second month of the year and we thank God for His grace and faithfulness to be alive, strong and healthy. As the year is still very fresh, many of us are still equally very determined to see that our yearly resolutions are not just mere wishful list. We want to follow them through. To this end, it is very vital we pay attention to our mindset early enough. It is our prayers that our hopes and aspirations will all come to fruition as the year progresses in Jesus name.

By definition, a mindset refers to a person’s established set of attitudes, beliefs, and thoughts that shape their approach to various aspects of life, such as problem-solving, decision-making, and how they perceive and interpret events or situations. It can significantly influence one’s behavior, resilience, and overall outlook on life. Mindsets can be categorized in various ways, such as having a growth mindset (believing in the ability to learn and improve) or a fixed mindset (believing abilities are static), among others.

The Bible passage quoted as the anchor scripture above enjoins us to be transformed by the renewing of our mind. This implies that the level of our transformation is directly proportional to the renewal of our mindset. If the heart is inclined for positive growth, then there will be transformation in that direction and vice versa. The implications of this is that your mindset this year is of paramount importance in order to experience the divine repositioning that God has purposed for you. There is power in your mindset.

The question for you in this new month is what is your mindset? What is your goal for this year? Do you have a growth or deteriorating mindset? Do you have a positive or negative mindset? Whatever your mindset is, that is the indication of your direction. The following quotes will help to guide our mindset as we continue our life journey this month and beyond:

“For as he thinketh in his heart, so is he: Eat and drink, saith he to thee; But his heart is not with thee.“ Proverbs‬ ‭23‬:‭7‬ ‭KJV‬‬

“Only changes in mindsets can extend the frontiers of the possible.” ~ Winston Churchill

“I think anything is possible if you have the mindset and the will and desire to do it and put the time in.” ~ Roger Clemens

Successful people don’t have any fewer problems than unsuccessful people; they just have a different mindset in dealing with them.” ~ John C. Maxwell

“Have the courage to follow your heart and intuition. They somehow already know what you truly want to become. Everything else is secondary.” ~ Steve Jobs

In conclusion, be encouraged to have a positive mindset of growth, success, fruitfulness and fulfillment in all you do this month and year. Per adventure you have not yet surrendered your life to Christ, you need to change your mind to have a positive relationship with God through His son – Jesus Christ. Repent of your sins and turn from your evil ways.

Remain blessed in Jesus name.
