December 2025 – Eternal God, Our Refuge

Happy New Month, beloved! What a great privilege to see the last month of this year. May this month of December overflow with God’s blessings for you and your household in Jesus’ mighty name.

Just a few hours before the end of last month, I experienced something that reminded me how brief life truly is (story for another day). There is really only a step between life and death. If you are alive, hale and hearty today, it is purely by the mercy and grace of God. The same steps we take daily without thinking are the very steps some people took and never returned. That the Almighty God has carried you from January until now is a testimony on its own; a clear sign that His everlasting arms have been upholding you.

The Bible puts it this way:

“The eternal God is thy refuge, and underneath are the everlasting arms: and he shall thrust out the enemy from before thee; and shall say, Destroy them.” – Deuteronomy 33:27 (KJV)

There are a few powerful truths tucked inside this verse:

1. God is Eternal.

He exists without beginning or end. Everything else in creation rises, grows and fades, but God stands outside time itself. He is constant, unchanging and dependable.

2. The Eternal God is our Refuge.

A refuge is a safe place, a shelter from danger or distress. That is who God is to us. He protects, He shields and He provides covering when life gets uncertain. May you continually find safety under His wings.

3. His arms are everlasting.

His strength does not weaken. His support does not run out. The arms that carried you through the year will carry you into the next. You will finish this year well and strong by His help.

4. He gives victory.

God promises to push back every enemy and fight your battles. As long as you walk with Him, you will not be alone in any conflict. He stands ahead of you, clearing the path.

But here is the most important question for you: Do you know this God?

Have you received Jesus Christ as your Lord and Saviour? There is no safer place than in His arms. If you haven’t made that decision, do so today.

“O taste and see that the LORD is good: Blessed is the man that trusteth in him.”

‭‭Psalm‬ ‭34‬:‭8‬ ‭KJV‬‬

As the year winds down, please take a moment to remember His goodness, His mercies, His loving kindness and His countless blessings upon you and your family. Let gratitude fill your heart. May the Almighty God uphold you with His everlasting arms and crown this year with His goodness for you and yours in Jesus’ mighty name.

Once again, Happy New Month, and God bless you abundantly.
