Happy new month dearly beloved. It is the eight month of the year and eight stands for new beginnings. May God do great things and unsearchable, marvelous things without number in your life and family this month in Jesus name.
In this new month brethren, we need to first and foremost thank God for the preservation and the wonderful testimonies He has given us within the past seven months. He that has started great things for you and your household will certainly bring it to accomplishment and perfect all that concerns you in Jesus mighty name.
As God is set to do new things for us this month, an essential virtue we need to inculcate is that of diligence. According to the dictionary, diligence means steady, earnest, and energetic effort : devoted and painstaking work and application to accomplish an undertaking. I believe, there are many things you may have set your heart to accomplish this year, and in this month in particular, whether it is a service to God, to yourself or humanity at large, the virtue of diligence and absolute commitment will put you on course.
“Seest thou a man diligent in his business? he shall stand before kings; He shall not stand before mean men.” Proverbs 22:29 KJV
Diligence is what separates excellence from mediocrity; it is a virtue that is capable of pulling you out of obscurity to limelight and rather than you standing among mean men, it can make you to stand before kings. Does this sounds like your heart desires?
As children of God, we require diligence to make more impacts in our callings. In our quest to disciple more men to God’s kingdom, we cannot afford to jettison such a golden attribute. It’s a necessary condiment to make a palatable meal of high spiritual impacts. It helps to put the necessary things in place for our fruitfulness in the kingdom. It is written:
“And beside this, giving all diligence, add to your faith virtue; and to virtue knowledge; and to knowledge temperance; and to temperance patience; and to patience godliness; and to godliness brotherly kindness; and to brotherly kindness charity. For if these things be in you, and abound, they make you that ye shall neither be barren nor unfruitful in the knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ. But he that lacketh these things is blind, and cannot see afar off, and hath forgotten that he was purged from his old sins.” 2 Peter 1:5-9 KJV
Whether in thanksgiving, prayer, evangelism, individual business, corporate services and all what’s not, the value of diligence cannot be overemphasized. It is high time we incorporate this culture in our day to day activities. This will put us in a vantage point and the right path to receive what God has for us this month and onward.
To our friends who are not yet in the faith, I want to diligently appeal to you who have not yet surrendered your live to Jesus, to do so immediately. Please acept Jesus Christ as your Lord and Saviour, repent of your sins and turn from your evil ways and it shall be well with your soul.
Finally, please permit me to call you into taping the power of diligence in all you do this month and in all life’s endeavours. Embrace it and run with it. I see you reaching your goal and possessing your possessions in Christ Jesus in no longer time. I see you radiating the glory of God in all you do. May God perfect all that concerns you and yours in this new month in Jesus mighty name.
Stay blessed and loved.
