In life, we face battles, many of which we can see and explain what their causes could be…at least on the surface of it. Much of the time also, there are underlying factors or reasons beyond the apparent why we are faced with these battles.
Then there are times when we do not even understand, both on the surface and in depth, why we have these battles in our lives. There are hidden faults in our lives that we might not be conscious of that open us up to these battles. Remember, “Whoso breaks the hedge, the Serpent shall bite,” Eccle 10: 8b.
The hedge is God’s protection around a child of God’s life, family, business, ministry, etc.
When a child of God loses this protection, attacks and challenges beyond our understanding creep in and debar our upward movement.
When envy, jealousy, and wickedness exist in the lives of men, they become tools in the hands of the enemy. All these characters are exhibited by those even close to us and they end up turning against us without us suspecting. The late Bob Marley in his evergreen song, “Who the cap fits” presented it well by saying “your worst enemy could be your best friend”. Suffice to say today that the worst enemy we have sometimes now, if not most, are even our own blood or ourselves. Search yourself, search around you…do both physical and spiritual search to know why your moving to the next level is not being actualised.
There are also the mistakes, sins, and covenants of our fathers and mothers, committed knowingly or unknowingly. There is usually a way we experience a fast recovery from battles when the hidden truths about our lives and environments are revealed. The word of God tells us that “We wrestle not against flesh and blood but against powers/principalities” (Ephesians 6:12) that use people and circumstances against us.
Should we therefore go about suspecting everybody around us? NO! Rather, in prayers and supplication, with thanksgiving, we take these matters to God.
Mind following me on a short trip through the book of Job? Let’s travel (it’s a journey I guess) with The Message Bible. “Job 14:7, “At least there is hope for a tree: If it is cut down, it will sprout again, and its new shoots will not fail. Its roots may grow old in the ground and its stump die in the soil, yet at the scent of water it will bud and put forth shoots like a plant.”
Dear friends…believing we are all one, refuse to give up at the slightest discouragement in any area of your life. That is one of the ways you will get to the next level. Remember that dead and dry bones shall rise and live again (Ezekiel 37). Your withered and dead tree will sprout back to life indeed. Trust God for a comeback that will launch you into the next level of greatness.
Are you still asking why God will give you a comeback so you can re-launch yourself? Look this way:
- You are His Ambassador and epistle to all.
- You are a chosen and peculiar generation.
- You are meant for the top in life.
- You are more than a conqueror in all battles.
If David can be restored, then you can. Go back to the Father (Luke 15:18.)
- If the prodigal son can be received and restored, then you can.
- Have you lived like Nebuchadnezzar at some point? If yes, do what he did the second time (Daniel 4:36)
Stop hesitating; God is waiting for your comeback. Don’t reject His repositioning. Once you return, ask Him to restore unto you the joy of salvation. That is the ladder you and I will climb to the next level.
THERE IS A GREAT COME BACK FOR ME. MEET ME AT THE NEXT LEVEL.
– Shalom
